Getting things dryer with less energy

I have always like line dried clothing except in the spring when the air is thick with pollen. Right now every outside surface is coated yellow with the left over materials of the pine trees reproductive process. I really don't want that on my clothing, but I don't want to run a dryer and heat up my home so I have to run an air conditioner to cool it down.

So my solution was to get a spin dryer. This type of dryer does not use heat it merely spins the water out of your clothes. Then you can hang them inside to dry for an hour or two. Or you can spin dry your clothes and then use a regular dryer to dry them in minutes. I'll let you know how it goes.
